Kim Jong Un Meets Delegation From China

Kim Jong Un Meets Delegation of PRC

Pyongyang, July 25 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army, received the delegation of the People's Republic of China (PRC) led by Li Yuanchao, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and vice-president of the PRC, on Thursday.

The delegation is visiting the DPRK to participate in the celebrations of the 60th anniversary of the victory in the great Fatherland Liberation War.

Present there were Zhang Yesui, executive vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, Jia Tingan, deputy director of the General Political Department of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, Chen Fengxiang, deputy head of the International Liaison Department of the Central Committee of the CPC, Bing Zhigang, vice-governor of the Liaoning Provincial People's Government, Chen Weigen, vice-governor of the Jilin Provincial People's Government, and Liu Hongcai, Chinese ambassador to the DPRK, who are members of the delegation.

Kim Kye Gwan, first vice-minister of Foreign Affairs of the DPRK, was present there.

Kim Jong Un received Li Yuanchao and members of the delegation and had a conversation with them.

Li Yuanchao conveyed the warm greetings and a verbal message of Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Central Committee of the CPC and president of the PRC, to Kim Jong Un.

Expressing thanks to Kim Jong Un for receiving the delegation, though he is very busy leading the struggle for building a thriving nation, Li Yuanchao extended warmest congratulations to the Korean people who are greeting the significant July 27 on behalf of the Chinese party and government.

He said that the delegation came to the DPRK with a mission to preserve and glorify down through generations the blood-sealed militant friendship between the armies and peoples of the two countries.

The Chinese party and government are rejoiced over the great achievements made by the Korean people in their efforts for building a thriving socialist nation under the leadership of the dear respected Kim Jong Un, true to the behests of leader Kim Jong Il, he said, adding:

The two countries are the friendly neighbors. It is the consistent policy of the Chinese party and government to steadily consolidate the traditional Sino-DPRK friendly and cooperative relations.

The Chinese party and government set great store by the Sino-DPRK friendly relations provided and cultivated by the elder generation of the two parties and countries and the new collective leadership of the CPC together with the party and government of the DPRK will respect and trust each other and put spurs to the development of the Sino-DPRK friendly relations through friendly exchange and cooperation.

Kim Jong Un warmly welcomed the delegation's visit to the DPRK and extended warm greetings to the collective leadership of the CPC with Xi Jinping as its general secretary and the Chinese people.

He expressed thanks to the Chinese party and government for dispatching the delegation of the People's Republic of China to the celebrations of the 60th anniversary of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.

The army and people of the DPRK will always remember the disinterested internationalist assistance rendered by the Chinese party, government and people to the Korean people during the past Fatherland Liberation War and the exploits the fighters of the Chinese People's Volunteers performed in the war, he noted.

It is the steadfast will of the Workers' Party of Korea and the Korean people to consolidate the traditional DPRK-China friendship down through generations, he said, expressing belief that the invincible vitality of this friendship, the common treasure of the two peoples, would be more powerfully demonstrated in the future thanks to the joint efforts of both sides in the future.

He exchanged with the guests views on the issue of boosting the relations between the two countries and the matter of ensuring peace and security in Northeast Asia and the world and other issues of mutual concern.

The conversation proceeded in a friendly and amicable atmosphere.

Kim Jong Un was presented with a gift of best wishes by Li Yuanchao.

He expressed thanks for this and had a photo session with all members of the delegation and staff members of the Chinese embassy here.


PRC Delegation Here

Pyongyang, July 25 (KCNA) -- A delegation of the People's Republic of China headed by Li Yuanchao, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and vice-president of the PRC, arrived here on Thursday.

It is on an official goodwill visit to the DPRK to take part in the celebrations of the 60th anniversary of the Korean people's victory in the Fatherland Liberation War at the invitation of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly and Cabinet of the DPRK.

It consists of Zhang Yesui, executive vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, Jia Tingan, deputy director of the General Political Department of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, Liu Hongcai, Chinese ambassador to the DPRK, Chen Fengxiang, deputy head of the International Liaison Department of the Central Committee of the CPC, Bing Zhigang, vice-governor of the Liaoning Provincial People's Government, Chen Weigen, vice-governor of the Jilin Provincial People's Government, and others.

It was greeted at the airport by Yang Hyong Sop, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and vice-president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly, Kim Song Nam, vice-department director of the C.C., WPK, Lieutenant General of the Korean People's Army Ryom Chol Song, Kim Hyong Jun, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, Ji Jae Ryong, DPRK ambassador to China, officials concerned and staff members of the Chinese embassy here.

There took place a welcome ceremony at the airport.

A woman worker and a woman of the Chinese embassy presented bouquets to Li Yuanchao.

Pyongyang citizens warmly welcomed the delegation at the airport.
